Vietnam’s tax sector collected an estimated VND325.78 trillion ($13.73 billion) for the State budget in the first two months of 2023, up 16.7 per cent against the same period last year, according to the General Department of Taxation.
Domestic collections totaled VND315 trillion ($13.17 billion), a year-on-year increase of 16.8 per cent.
Thirty-six of Vietnam’s 63 cities and provinces reached more than 18 per cent of their annual tax collection estimates.
Regarding tax management in e-commerce, 46 foreign suppliers have registered, declared, and paid taxes through the portal for foreign suppliers as of February 17.
The sector has set a target of collecting VND1.37 quadrillion ($57.3 billion) for the State budget this year.
