Mavek & SAP to host semiconductor seminars

Four seminars to be held before end-May, with the first on February 28.

Mavek and SAP are together hosting a series of webinars with top-tier global experts to provide insights to semiconductor leaders in the Asia-Pacific region.

The four-part seminar series, entitled “The Global Semiconductor Chip Wars & Implications” (register at www.mavekinc.com/rsvp), will begin on February 28 and provide insights into the future of the semiconductor industry as well as key strategies and countermeasures to get ahead of the competition during the global chip war and supply chain relocations.

Topics are as follows: “US CHIPS & Science Act Overview and Responses from Key Countries” on February 28, “China’s Semiconductor Strategies and Responses to the US” on March 28, “Stances and Prospective Actions on the Global Chip War - Japan, Netherlands, Taiwan, and Korea” on April 25, and “Strategies for Developments in ASEAN Semiconductor Industries” on May 30.

The first webinar features keynote speakers such as Mr. Clyde Prestowitz, President of the Economist Strategy Institute, Dr. Paula Stern (former US International Trade Commission Chairwoman), Dr. Jue Wang (Semiconductor Leader at Bain & Company), Mr. Mike Pegler (Lead Client Partner at PwC), Ms. Christie Simons (Partner & Global Semiconductor Leader at Deloitte), and Mr. James Khoo (Partner at Mavek).

Notably, keynote speaker Mr. Prestowitz has served as an advisor to Presidents Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Clinton, and Obama. He headed negotiations with Japan, South Korea, and China as Counselor to the Secretary of Commerce during the Reagan administration and served as Vice Chairman of the President’s Commission on Trade and Investment in the Asia-Pacific region during the Clinton administration. He also was on the Board of Advisors at Export/Import Bank.
