National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue has proposed that businesses and corporations from Bangladesh invest in Vietnam and cooperate with potential local partners.

Focus should be on areas that are strengths of Bangladeshi groups, such as real estate, construction materials, pharmaceuticals, industrial park construction, and tourism, Chairman Hue said at a working session with representatives from Bangladeshi businesses and agencies in Dhaka on September 22 during his visit to the country.

They included Vice President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and leaders of the Bangladesh - Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BVCCI) and the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI).

Chairman Hue emphasized that Vietnam and Bangladesh are major markets and have huge potential in the consumption of quality products.

He also spoke of policies, laws, and orientations in Vietnam, while urging Bangladeshi groups and associations, with their networks of offices and branches, to act as a bridge to bring potential investors inside and outside of Bangladesh to invest in Vietnam.

Bangladesh has 19 investment projects in Vietnam at present with total registered investment capital of $940,000.
