Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has signed Prime Ministerial Decision No. 06/QD-TTg, approving the project on "Building and Managing the National Information System and Database on Planning."
The project will apply to State management in the field of planning across various ministries, sectors, and localities.
The project aims to ensure that by 2030, all district-level land-use planning databases and regional construction planning databases are collected and developed using GIS technology.
The data collected, synthesized, processed, and updated in the National Planning Database will include planning documents and diagrams, national-level planning maps, regional planning, provincial planning, and planning for special administrative-economic units (if any).
Additionally, the database will encompass urban planning, rural planning, district-level land-use planning, district-level regional construction planning, and other technical and specialized planning according to relevant laws.
The goal is to build a National Planning Database that ensures connection, interoperability, integration, and data sharing with the planning databases of various ministries, sectors, and localities on an electronic platform.
This system will support State management in the field of planning and aid in the direction and administration of socio-economic development by the Government and leaders at all levels.
Furthermore, this database system will help simplify administrative procedures, facilitate access to and use of planning information by organizations and individuals, and promote the provision of online public services.
