Nearly 66,300 enterprises were participating in the Vietnam National Single Window (NSW) mechanism as of October 31, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

The implementation of the Vietnam NSW and the ASEAN Single Window has helped save time and reduce cost spent on normal procedures for import and export activities.

A recent survey carried out by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) showed that the mechanism has helped cut the time to carry out administrative procedures for enterprises by 5-25 hours, depending on the procedure.

In the field of customs, all key procedures are now conducted online. Some 99.6 per cent of customs clearance application forms are handled online and it takes only 1-3 seconds for customs clearance for cargo in the Green Line classification.
