Authorities in north-central Nghe An province have granted investment licenses to 57 projects this year with total registered capital of over VND12.2 trillion ($517 million), according to the provincial Statistics Office.
The province also approved increases in investment capital at 17 projects, by a total of over VND2.6 trillion ($109 million).
In May alone, authorities granted investment licenses to nine projects with total registered capital of more than VND2 trillion ($84.3 million).
These include projects to build the KHKY Luxvisions Innovation factory at the VSIP Industrial Park by Luxvisions Innovation Technology Limited, with investment of $29 million; a footwear production plant for exports in Quynh Luu district by the Thinh Phat Garment and Textile Company with investment capital of $25 million; and a wood plant in Quy Hop district by the Plywood TTD Joint Stock Company worth $16.4 million.
