Looking toward 2045, the province envisions the formation of large-scale concentrated raw material zones with optimized crop structures. Priority will remain on large-timber forests, indigenous species, and certified sustainable forests.
The project is seen as a pivotal component in enhancing the economic development of the North Central region and strengthening trade between Vietnam, Laos, and the broader region.
The central province aims to build a strategy for developing key products including seafood, tea, spices, medicinal herbs, and tourism services for Halal markets.
The total land requirement for the project is 543.53 ha, of which civil aviation land accounts for 262.7 ha, military land for 238.8 ha, and shared land for 42 ha.
China is also the central province’s largest trading partner, with export turnover reaching $547 million in 2024 and nearly $400 million in the first half of 2025.
Among the approved projects, 34 already have investors in place, accounting for nearly 28,000 units, while 7 others—representing around 8,000 units—are still seeking investment.
