Over 2,300 business regulations and 194 legal documents were simplified in the five-year period of implementing the USAID Linkages for Small and Medium Enterprises (LinkSME) project in the 2021-2023 period, helping save enterprises’ time and compliance costs.
The project aimed at improving the business environment and enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnamese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
A conference was held on August 4 by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), Vietnam’s Office of the Government, and the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) to review the project’s achievements.
During the five-year period, the project provided technical support for the Office of the Government and the MPI and relevant ministries and agencies to continue to reduce and simplify business-related regulations, strengthen administrative reform, and improve one-stop-shops and inter-agency one-stop-shop mechanisms for handling administrative procedures.
These efforts helped save enterprises’ time and cost on compliance and facilitated their participation in global supply chains, digital transformation, and access to finance. Over 700 enterprises gained better access to finance while 1,000 others received support in digital transformation.
