The annual CIO Summit 2025 will take place on October 2 in Ho Chi Minh City, and is expected to gather more than 500 technology and business leaders, including CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, CEOs, and strategic innovation planners.
As artificial intelligence (AI) shifts from long-term strategy to practical application, the role of Chief Information Officers (CIOs) is evolving beyond system operations. They are now expected to become architects of core business value.
According to the organizing committee, this year’s event will focus on three key themes: redefining the role of technology leaders within strategic boards; updating trends in AI, data, cybersecurity, and digital transformation; and connecting leaders who are directly implementing technology in real-world scenarios.
A highlight of CIO Summit 2025 will be the CIO Survey 2025, an exclusive report based on insights from over 500 technology executives nationwide. The survey explores strategic priorities for the 2026–2030 period, challenges in deploying AI and data in operations, and directions for restructuring technology systems to align with business goals.
In addition, the CIO Awards 2025 will honor individuals who have helped position technology as a driver of growth and social impact. The event is regarded as a key forum for technology and business leaders to exchange ideas on leveraging AI, data, and digital solutions to foster innovation, sustainable growth, and elevate Vietnam’s standing on the regional technology map.
Speaking with VnEconomy, Mr. Huynh Le Tan Tai, Co-Chair of the Vietnam CIO Community, said that the community is building an ecosystem to nurture a new generation of young CTOs and CIOs—leaders who are not only technically proficient but also possess strategic thinking and leadership capabilities.
