The Phuc Khang Corporation has donated four high quality ultrasound machines to Ho Chi Minh City’s University Medical Center (UMC) to help it deliver excellent performance in diagnosis to support fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.
This is a meaningful part of a campaign entitled “The Green Heart of Giftivism” that Phuc Khang has been running to accompany Ho Chi Minh City during the pandemic.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huynh Mai, Chief of Staff at the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoang Bac, Director of the UMC, and Ms. Luu Thi Thanh Mau, CEO of the Phuc Khang Corporation, were present at the ceremony, together with representatives from not only the UMC but also Phuc Khang’s Board of Directors.
With the objective of accompanying frontline medical teams, Phuc Khang recognized the obstacles and demand for medical equipment to treat Covid-19 patients during a discussion with the UMC.
Four genuine high-quality ultrasound machines, one of which is a state-of-the-art Color Doppler Digital Ultrasound Machine with seamlessly-embedded AI and the latest medical technology to help reliably analyze images in support of diagnosing patients with underlying diseases or unclear or no symptoms, have been donated, all of which are modern and have a long service life to help protect patients’ health in the treatment and recovery period.
The donation is part of the meaningful activities held within “The Green Heart of Giftivism” campaign, which has donated 10,000 gifts, 500 sickbeds, more than 5,000 meals to quarantine areas, 2,000 test kits, thousands of boxes of face masks, and packs of medicine to home-treated F0 patients in the city.
At the ceremony, Ms. Mau expressed her empathy for and admiration of the sacrifice and devotion of the medical teams. “Though we are not directly involved in the treatment of Covid-19 patients like the medical teams, Phuc Khang is committed to accompanying them as a steady home front,” she said. “In consultation with experts in medical equipment and based on the actual demand of the hospital, we expect that these machines will improve treatment outcomes and ease the burden on medical teams.”
Dr. Bac expressed his gratitude to the sponsors, among which is the Phuc Khang Corporation. “First of all, I would like to thank the companionship of sponsors, especially the concerns the Phuc Khang Corporation raised with the UMC,” he said. “This is both priceless support and great help in accurately diagnosing and early detecting symptoms related to Covid-19, allowing doctors to provide timely treatment. This donation is both support and encouragement to our doctors and medical staff.”
With a philosophy of “Sustainable Development” starting from “Responsible Development”, the Phuc Khang Corporation will continue donating medical equipment to other hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City in support of curing Covid-19 patients. Campaigns “to share and care” in the fight against the pandemic again affirm the “Heart of Gold” of the Board of Directors at the Phuc Khang Corporation, and the spirit of responsibility and solidarity in standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the government and frontline teams to protect people’s health and lives.
A state-of-the-art Color Doppler Digital Ultrasound Machine with seamlessly-embedded AI and the latest medical technology was donated to HCMC’s UMC by the Phuc Khang Corporation.
The Color Doppler Digital Ultrasound Machine is embedded with Ultrasound Elastography, Navigation, and CT-MRI Fusion to help with early diagnosis and deep diagnosis and treatment methods. In the fight against Covid-19, receiving these high-quality ultrasound machines will help detect disease at an early stage, even for patients with complex underlying diseases, according to Dr. Nguyen Quang Thai Duong, Deputy Head of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at the UMC. |
