Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh arrived in Nanning in Guangxi province, China, on September 16 to take part in the 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS) from September 16-17.
He is scheduled to deliver a speech at the opening ceremonies of both events, visit booths displaying products from Vietnam and other countries, and meet with major businesses from China and ASEAN to promote cooperation in investment, production, and trade.
The delegation of Vietnamese enterprises attending events is the largest from ASEAN, with 250 booths on a total area of 5,000 sq m.
Two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and China reached $175.56 billion in 2022 and an estimated $105.5 billion in the first eight months of this year.
China is currently Vietnam’s second-largest foreign investor, with 399 projects and capital of nearly $1.3 billion.
