Boosting digitalization and data connections between ministries, sectors, and localities are among the key tasks for 2023, which is to be a year of creating and exploiting data to create new value, according to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
Chairing a meeting of the National Committee for Digital Transformation on February 25, the Prime Minister said digital transformation is a key task that must be continually carried out at all levels, sectors, and localities, with the active participation of the entire population.
“Digital transformation is a trend and has been promoted on a global scale,” he said. “Vietnam is no exception to the trend. If we do not boost digital transformation rapidly, comprehensively, and effectively, we will be left behind.”
The government leader called for comprehensive reform in digital transformation to improve workplace productivity and the competitiveness of enterprises.
It is necessary to launch 53 key public services, connect online public services with the National Public Service Portal to save time and cost, and mitigate corruption and negative phenomena, he said.
