The Industry 4.0 Summit 2023 opened in Hanoi on June 14, featuring a plenary session chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
The Summit, hosted by the Central Economic Commission, has the theme “Promoting digital transformation and green transition to create breakthroughs, shortening the industrialization and modernization process by 2030 with a vision towards 2045”.
The plenary session focused on reports on the government’s action program to implement a resolution on accelerating national industrialization and modernization to 2030 with a vision to 2045; promoting digital transformation to shorten the process of industrialization and modernization in Vietnam; green transition and digital twins in Europe and Vietnam; and green growth and innovation.
It was an important gathering held to implement the Party Central Committee’s Resolution No. 29 on the country’s industrialization and modernization by 2030 with a vision towards 2045.
Under Resolution No. 29, issued in November 2022, Vietnam is to basically meet the criteria for an industrialized country and become a developing country with modern industry and upper-middle incomes by 2030.
By 2045, it is to become a developed country with high incomes and one of the leading industrialized nations in Asia.
