Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposed Chinese enterprises to expand investment in Vietnam during a dialogue with some major Chinese companies in Hanoi on February 28.

These enterprises operate in the fields of infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, information technology, communications and banking.

They were encouraged to increase investment in traditional growth drivers such as investment, exports, and consumption, while also fostering new growth engines, especially in semiconductor, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, optoelectronics, quantum technology, biotechnology, new materials technology, and high-value services like digital payment solutions.

PM Chinh also proposed the Chinese firms to consider Vietnam as a production and trade destination, contributing to digital economy, green economy and circular economy in Vietnam.

He encouraged them to step up technology transfer, enabling Vietnamese firms to join the global value chain and expand their investment horizons.
