Green transition, digital transformation, and innovation are the top priorities for Vietnam in its rapid and sustainable development, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said while addressing the Vietnam Business Forum in Dubai, UAE, on December 2.

With the theme “Mobilizing Resources for Green Transition”, the forum was co-hosted by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Vietnamese Embassy in the UAE, and the Global Wind Energy Council and held on the sidelines of the COP28 meeting.

It drew the participation of representatives from 50 Vietnamese businesses and 120 UAE and foreign businesses.

Prime Minister Chinh emphasized that Vietnam wishes to promote cooperation in these fields.

Participants appreciate Vietnam’s efforts and commitment to reducing emissions and green transition since COP26 as well as the Prime Minister’s activities at COP28, particularly the announcement of the country’s Resource Mobilization Plan (RMP) to implement the Political Declaration on establishing the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) between Vietnam and the International Partners Group (IPG).

They also spoke highly of Vietnam’s huge potential in renewable energy, wind power, and solar power, and proposed initiatives to promote cooperation between Vietnam and partners in mobilizing resources for green transition.
