Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked authorities in northern Hai Duong province to continue promoting economic development and ensuring social security while visiting and presenting gifts to disadvantaged workers from the Kefico Company at the Dai An Industrial Park on January 10, ahead of the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday in early February.

The province must effectively focus on land planning and allocation, he said, and roll out the VND120 trillion ($5 billion) credit package to develop housing and accommodation for low-income earners and workers.

Prime Minister Chinh lauded the province for its achievements in 2023 and spoke highly of workers’ contribution to national development.

Provincial authorities were urged to continue extending support to policy beneficiaries, the poor, vulnerable groups, and workers, to ensure a joyous Tet for all.

Hai Duong posted GDRP growth of 8 per cent in 2023.
