Processing & packaging technology on show at ProPak Vietnam 2022

ProPak Vietnam 2022 set for November 9-11 as a platform for foreign and domestic B2B enterprises in processing and packaging technology.

The 15th Processing & Packaging Exhibition for Vietnam (ProPak Vietnam 2022) will take place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, from November 9 to 11. As the leading international trade event for processing and packaging technology for Vietnam’s food and beverages and pharmaceutical industries, it offers opportunities for domestic and foreign enterprises to experience the latest equipment and technology from 30 countries and regions worldwide.

ProPak Vietnam 2022 is officially supported by the Vietnam Packaging Association (VINPAS), the Vietnam Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Association (VBA), and the Vietnam Association of Food Science and Technology (VAFoST), and will provide a host of industry insights. 

Vietnam’s packaging industry posting high growth

Vietnam’s packaging industry plays an increasingly important role and is recognized and appreciated for its development. During the two years of Covid-19, packaging production effectively met requirements for the distribution of goods, thereby ensuring the quality of food delivered to customers, and providing sufficient packaging for medical care, pandemic prevention, and exports.

Globally, packaging value stands at almost $500 billion a year and is growing at an average of 12 per cent annually. Vietnam’s packaging industry saw a relatively high and stable growth rate of 13.4 per cent a year on average in the 2015-2020 period. There are more than 4,500 packaging manufacturing enterprises in the country, primarily in key economic regions such as the south, including Ho Chi Minh City, with 2,627 enterprises, and the Red River Delta, including Hanoi, with 1,311 enterprises. 

Return of ProPak Vietnam

The holding of the 15th ProPak Vietnam in 2022 marks its return after a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19, and has been warmly welcomed by enterprises in the food and beverage and pharmaceutical industries. After 14 successful holdings, with more than 10,000 visitors attending each year, ProPak Vietnam will be a great opportunity for enterprises large and small to improve their knowledge and access valuable opportunities. 

The event is on an international scale, covering over 10,000 sq m and with the participation of more than 400 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions around the world. Of note, there are seven national booths from Italy, including those from UCIMA (Italian Manufacturers of Automatic Packing and Packaging Machinery) and ACIMGA (Italian Manufacturers Association of Machinery for the Graphic, Converting and Paper Industry), and others from countries such as Germany, Singapore, China, South Korea, and Taiwan (China).

This year’s event will feature the display of the latest products and services in the field of processing and packaging technology. Outstanding firms include ABB Automation & Electrification and Endress+Hauser from Vietnam, Dalgakiran Kompresor from Turkey, FPT Food Process Technology from Germany, Fuji Machinery from Japan, Greenpack from South Korea, Guan Yu Machinery Factory from Taiwan (China), Heat And Control Pty Ltd from Australia, Amut S.P.A from Italy, Bossar Packaging S.L. from Spain, and many others.

Products to be displayed are diverse and varied, with the main product segments being packaging technology, processing technology, raw materials, beverage technology, pharmaceutical technology, and cold chains, logistics and storage, coding, marking and labeling, printing technology, laboratory, and inspection.

ProPak Vietnam 2022 is a popular event among visitors, with practical lessons shared on smart packaging, beverage device trends, IoT, digitization, and data analysis for the packaging industry through a series of specialized seminars involving leading domestic and international experts and engineers, who discuss the latest developments and trends in the packaging industry. 

The event schedule for ProPak Vietnam 2022:

  • Vietnam Beverage Industry and Equipment and Technology Trends in the Future, organized by the Vietnam Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Association (VBA) on November 9 from 1.30 pm - 4.30pm.
  • Advanced and Sustainable Technology Development in the Food Industry, organized by the Vietnam Association of Food Science and Technology (VAFoST) on November 10 from 9am - 4pm.
  • Design, technology and intelligent production systems in the packaging industry to help manage products, production of wires, and increase interaction and experience for customers, organized by Meslab on November 11 from 9.30am - 4.30pm.
  • PROTALK - A series of technical seminars to be held on November 9 and 10.

In particular, ProPak Vietnam 2022 will also feature interesting activities such as an Innovation Technology Showcase, a Sustainable Square, and a unique 1-1 Business Matching Program, to improve the visitor experience.

ProPak Vietnam, Printech Vietnam, and Vietwater are co-hosted and will bring a comprehensive trading platform in the industries of processing, packaging, printing, labeling, water supply, water, and wastewater treatment in November.
