Courses aim to thoroughly prepare students for ACCA exams, fostering finance and accounting skills as well as providing valuable expertise in organizational management and strategy.

PwC’s Academy Vietnam - a service provided by PwC Vietnam - recently launched the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) training service with the exclusive eLearning platform. The courses aim to prepare students thoroughly for ACCA exams, fostering finance and accounting skills, as well as providing valuable expertise in organizational management and strategy.

With its ACCA training service, PwC’s Academy Vietnam provides ACCA learners with a blended study approach that allows flexibility and personalized learning. Learners will be fully equipped with comprehensive and interactive materials on its exclusive award-winning eLearning platform, including full course notes, recorded lectures, continuous assessment, course checkpoints, and integrated computer-based mock tests.

Besides being a part of the extensive PwC’s Academy network, which includes ACCA Platinum and Gold Approved Learning Partners, PwC’s Academy Vietnam also brings a local team of specialist tutors with practical experience and industry knowledge to support students in revision sessions.

With the launch of the ACCA training service, PwC’s Academy Vietnam has now established a complete study and career development cycle for ACCA learners. While the ACCA training service focuses on technical skills, PwC’s Online Academy eLearning service is an integral part of fostering digital and professional skills. In addition, the Fast Track Internship program, previously introduced in December 2022, reflects a strong commitment from PwC Vietnam and ACCA Vietnam to boost career development.

Mr. Ren Varma, Head of Mainland Southeast Asia at ACCA, said ACCA is delighted to extend its warmest congratulations to PwC’s Academy Vietnam on the exciting launch of their ACCA training service. As a longstanding partner working with PwC’s Academy in various markets, ACCA is thrilled to witness this significant step towards providing Vietnamese learners with high-quality training services.

“At ACCA, our vision aligns seamlessly with PwC’s Academy’s pursuit of excellence,” he added. “Together, we aim to equip ACCA aspirants with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in today’s competitive business landscape.”

According to Ms. Dinh Thi Quynh Van, Chairwoman of PwC Vietnam, PwC’s network of firms has proudly worked with ACCA as a long-term partner internationally. With the newly-launched ACCA training service in Vietnam, PwC hopes to expand its partnership with ACCA and support Vietnamese learners with its network of experts and high-quality training.

“This new program aims to address the upskilling needs of our internal workforce and goes beyond, assisting other organizations in bridging upskilling gaps and preparing for the future of work,” said Ms. Van. “There is a growing demand for finance professionals to acquire high standards and ethics, so we believe in the importance of driving sustainable economic growth by bridging upskilling gaps for Vietnamese to meet the international workforce needs.”

According to the Accounting and Auditing Supervisory Department at the Ministry of Finance (MoF), Vietnam had 2,288 Vietnamese certified public accountants in 2022, 446 of whom have international certificates, which is nearly double the number in 2015. However, the survey results also indicate that the current number of qualified auditors does not meet the requirements of an independent audit profession, both in terms of quantity and quality. This highlights the need for Vietnamese accountants to continuously upskill to adapt to international standards and for employers to promote upskilling to drive growth and attract top talent.
