The People’s Council of the central province of Quang Nam on June 24 unanimously adopted 15 resolutions aimed at advancing the province’s socio-economic development.

Among the most significant were the approvals of two strategic zoning plans within the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone.

The first is the 1/2000-scale zoning plan for the non-tariff zone linked to the Tam Hoa Port Area, spanning approximately 744.04 ha in Tam Hoa Commune, Nui Thanh District.

The site, currently home to around 230 households, predominantly consists of aquaculture land. All residents will be relocated and resettled as part of the development.

The plan defines three primary functional areas: a public and commercial service center, an industrial zone, and a port and logistics zone.

The second plan outlines the 1/2000-scale zoning for the Tam Hoa–Tam Tien Urban Residential, Service, and Tourism Zone, also in Nui Thanh District. Covering roughly 1,678.41 ha, this area includes approximately 3,800 households, with an estimated 980 households set to be relocated and resettled.

The urban-service-tourism zone is designed with six key functional areas.
