Construction of Quang Ngai – Hoai Nhon expressway, part of the eastern North-South Expressway, is scheduled for completion in October this year, according to the project’s contractor.

The Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon section has a total length of 88 km, connecting the south-central coastal province of Quang Ngai with the neighboring  Binh Dinh province.

Total investment capital is estimated at over VND20.4 trillion ($864 million).

The expressway was designed to have four lanes, allowing a maximum speed of 80 kph.

Minister of Transport Tran Hong Minh visited the construction site on January 16, asking the investor and contractors to mobilize resources to complete the project as scheduled while ensuring the project quality.
