The Can Tho-Ca Mau Expressway in the Mekong Delta is more than 110km long and has a total investment of approximately VND27.523 trillion ($1.04 billion).
The proposed project would help complete Vietnam's national transport network while creating a new economic corridor linking Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, and the Hanoi Capital Region.
Once completed, the expressway is expected to significantly reduce travel times and enhance accessibility to Ho Tram from Long Thanh International Airport and major urban centers.
The expressway, connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh and Soc Trang, requiring estimated investment capital of VND69 trillion ($2.7 billion).
Upon completion, the route will facilitate a direct connection from Hanoi to Vientiane (Laos), while simultaneously linking with the Eastern North-South Expressway and the Ho Chi Minh Road.
