Seaports handle 2% more goods this year
Over 703 million tons of goods passed through Vietnam’s seaports in 2021, up 2 per cent compared to 2020, in which container cargo increased 6 per cent. The national seaport plan includes a goal of Vietnam’s seaport network handling 1.1-1.4 billion tons a year, of which container cargo will stand at 38-47 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units), and catering to 10.1 to 10.3 million passengers by 2030.
