Automobile component sector needs support to meet demand
Eighty per cent of components for domestic vehicle production must be imported, with the remaining 20 per cent made domestically being quite simple items. The government should therefore have a mechanism to attract foreign suppliers to Vietnam to improve the capacity of domestic manufacturers and encourage domestic enterprises to expand investment in the production of automobile components.
