Vietnam has received more than 4 million doses of vaccine supported by the German Government, more than 2 million doses by the UK Government, nearly 160,000 doses by the Portuguese Government, and nearly 100,000 by the Luxembourg Government through the COVAX Mechanism. Vietnam has now received more than 51 million doses through the mechanism.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai has signed Decision No. 1644/QD-TTg on funding for purchasing and transporting 5 million doses of the Abdala vaccine from Cuba. The funds come from the Vietnam Covid-19 Vaccine Fund.

The German Government will donate 2.5 million doses of the Astra Zeneca vaccine to Vietnam to help it fight Covid-19. The country has been the largest donor to Vietnam among EU members.
