MoMo e-wallet and Starbucks Vietnam have announced a cooperative arrangement in which the former becomes the first e-wallet used for payments at all of the latter’s stores nationwide. Ms. Patricia Marques, General Director of Starbucks Vietnam, said that, nowadays, with increasing demand for convenient payments, e-wallets are a feature that Starbucks Vietnam wants to apply in its stores. It is expected that the two sides will research and deploy more services, offer new features, and improve the user experience.

After reaching the milestone of 1 million users after only eleven months in business, the 9Pay e-wallet is now focusing on upgrading technology in a bid to become the Number 1 e-wallet in the market for the payment of digital content services. Vietnam’s fintech market still has a lot of room for 9Pay to expand.

Vietnam is seeing among the highest growth in e-payments in the world, at about 35 per cent each year, of which e-wallets have found particular favor among the population as a modern and convenient method of payment.
