Renewable energy generation leading to sustainability
Electricity generation from renewable energy sources reached 5,242 billion kWh and 10,994 billion kWh, respectively, in 2019 and 2020, contributing significantly to reducing high-cost diesel-generated electricity. In 2020, 4.2 billion kWh was cut, equivalent to a saving of VND21 trillion ($927 million).
