Malaysian technology solutions provider K-One Technology Berhad said its subsidiary, G-AsiaPacific Sdn Bhd (GAP), has signed an agreement with the Vietnet Distribution Joint Stock Company to prepare for a joint venture, which is in line with its plan to expand its cloud computing business in Vietnam.
Mr. Nick Bradstreet, Director of Retail Asia - Pacific at Savills, has assessed that Vietnam’s luxury goods market is outstanding compared to elsewhere in Southeast Asia such as Singapore and Thailand and international retailers are looking for opportunities to expand in the country. Statista has estimated that Vietnam’s luxury goods market will grow 34 per cent this year and 4 per cent annually to 2025.
Under its plan on traffic and traffic safety in the 2022-2025 period, Hanoi will continue to expand its public transport network and limit the number of private vehicles on the road to ease congestion and curb environmental pollution. By 2025, public transport is to meet 30-35 per cent of travel needs.
Ho Chi Minh City will propose investing in expanding the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway from four lanes to eight to meet rising travel demand and to synchronize infrastructure projects in the region. Many investors have expressed interest in the 62-km project, to be implemented under the public-private partnership (PPP) method.
