Figures from the Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC) show that, in September, Vietnam saw a total of 265 million new downloads of mobile apps, ranking it tenth-highest in the world after India, the US, Brazil, China, Indonesia, Russia, Mexico, Pakistan, and Turkey. The number of new downloads in Vietnam is mainly video games, such as entertainment, action, intelligence, puzzles, adventure, and so on.

Vietnam’s game market has a great deal of potential for development, especially e-sports. The country is currently ranked seventh in the world and second in Southeast Asia in terms of game downloads. It is also ranked third in the top 10 game manufacturers in the region. For every 25 games downloaded, one is produced in a Vietnamese studio.
