"The development of the financial center is one of the strategic spearheads to help transform the growth model, improve resource utilization efficiency, and strengthen Vietnam's position on the international stage," Minister of Finance stated.

With a goal of becoming a “hub” attracting domestic and global private and corporate capital flows, Ho Chi Minh City will complete a roadmap for a project to become an International Financial Center in April. The steering committee for project preparation is being led by the city’s People’s Committee Chairman. US investors have pledged to pour $6 billion into the city since 2016 to build the Center.
