Japanese enterprises to promote localization efforts
Japanese enterprises are keen to expand localization efforts in Vietnam because their localization ratios remain low. Meanwhile, according to the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Vietnamese businesses depend on imports for more than 60 per cent of production inputs, while the impact of Covid-19 continues to disrupt supply chains and increase transportation costs.
