During phone talks on February 15 with Mr. Albert Bourla, Chairman and CEO of Pfizer, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked the company to supply 22 million doses of vaccine for children from 5 to 12 years old in Vietnam as soon as possible and fulfill the supply contract in April or no later than May.

Pfizer is committed to providing 31 million doses of vaccine to Vietnam this year, according to Mr. Jonathan Selib, Senior Vice President of Global Policy at the pharma giant.

A batch of 100,000 vials of the antiviral medication Remdesivir, manufactured by the Pfizer Group’s Mylan pharmaceutical company, has been delivered to Vietnam to support localities heavily affected by Covid-19. Another 100,000 vials are expected to arrive in Vietnam within the next few days.
