Construction of projected North–South high-speed railway is to start in 2026
At a meeting on April 26, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh calling for prompt preparations to start the construction of the Lao Cai–Hanoi–Hai Phong railway project in 2025 and the North–South high-speed railway in 2026.
