Addressing the Conference of Representatives of the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC)’s capital at enterprises on October 21, SCIC Deputy General Director Le Thanh Tuan said the total capital owned by the SCIC currently accounts for nearly 2 per cent of total State capital in enterprises. The SCIC will strive to improve the efficiency of representatives of State capital in enterprises and be a strategic investor of the government.

The State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) plans to sell capital in 101 businesses this year, 13 more than in 2021. To complete the divestment plan for the 2021-2025 period, it is finalizing its business strategy for the 2021-2030 period and vision to 2035, as well as its restructuring project for the 2021-2025 period.

State-owned enterprises (SOEs) still face difficulties in doing business. The State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) has therefore made a number of recommendations to the government regarding solutions and policies to remove the obstacles, to improve the competitiveness and efficiency of SOEs in socio-economic development.
