Data published by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) at the “Digital transformation towards a cashless society” seminar on June 17 shows that the percentage of adults with payment accounts stands at nearly 66 per cent, with average growth of 11.44 per cent seen from 2015 to 2021.

According to a 2022 market outlook report from Yuanta Securities Vietnam (YSVN), capital increases as well as rises in foreign share ownership at banks will boost stock prices in the banking sector this year, especially State-owned banks such as BIDV, VietinBank, and Vietcombank.
