MoIT imposes anti-dumping taxes on some imported welding products

The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has issued Decision No. 1624/QD-BCT applying anti-dumping taxes on a number of welding products originating from Malaysia, Thailand, and China. The tax rate to be applied ranges from 11.43 to 36.56 per cent.

Fishing crews in need of support as high gasoline prices keep vessels shorebound

Vietnam’s fishing fleet currently stands at nearly 92,000 vessels, 40-55 per cent of which have been unable to head out to sea recently due to rising gasoline prices. To address the situation, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has asked the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to propose that the government introduce a policy to support fishing crews that are temporarily out of work.

The transportation of rice has been blocked from field to factory and then market due to the application of anti-pandemic Directive No. 16 in 19 cities and provinces. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has sent an urgent dispatch to the Prime Minister proposing sea transport be used.
