The second Vinh Phuc innovation startup festival (Techfest VinhPhuc 2024) opened on December 20, serving as a bridge connecting startups, investors and policy makers.
The two-day event, themed “Vinh Phuc – Pioneering innovation, aspiring for renewal”, was co-hosted by the provincial People’s Committee, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
The event featured a scientific seminar on “Innovation and Business Connectivity”, and various supporting events such as startup consultancy, investment cooperation, and youth engagement in entrepreneurial ideas.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Minh said startup and innovation activities have been promoted significantly both inside and outside the country.
Vietnam has around 4,000 innovative startups, 208 investment funds, 79 incubators, 35 business promotion organizations and 20 innovative startup centers.
In 2023, Vietnamese startups received a total investment capital of $529 million.
