Export turnover of textile and garment products in July stood at $4.29 billion,  a year-on-year increase of 12.4%, the Vietnam News Agency has reported.

The figure marks the record high since August, 2022.

It brought the total export value of the sector in the first seven months of the year to $23.9 billion, up 5.9% year-on-year.

Vietnam has exported textile and garment products to 113 countries and territories. The main export markets are the US, the EU, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and China.

The sector targets total export revenue of $44 billion for 2024.

Last year, the sector earned $39.5 billion from exports, down 10% year-on-year.
