Central Thanh Hoa province registered total agro-forestry and fisheries production value of over VND19.6 trillion ($770 million) in the first half of 2024, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%.
Of which, crop cultivation value is estimated at over VND9.4 trillion ($369 million), up 2.1% year-on-year.
Local farmers have cultivated over 113,500 ha of rice with an output of more than 766,000 tons, equivalent to 101% and 106.5% of the target, respectively.
Husbandry value reached more than VND5.58 trillion ($219 million), surging 4.8% year-on-year.
Production value of local forestry sector is estimated at over VND1.18 trillion ($46 million), a year-on-year rise of 6.7%. The province planted 6,100 ha of forests. Wood exploitation output reached 510,000 cu m.
Regarding fisheries, the production value totaled over VND3.48 trillion ($136 million). The province harvested more than 37,800 tons of aquatic products from aquaculture while exploited seafood output is estimated at some 69,000 tons, up 4.4% and 1.3% respectively.
