Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Port (TC-HICT), at the Lach Huyen terminal area in the northern port city of Hai Phong, recently celebrated handling its 1 millionth TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit) container through the port in 2025.

The 1 millionth TEU container was discharged from the vessel CSCL EAST CHINA SEA, operated by shipping line COSCO.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Doan Hai Tuan, Chairman of the Member Council of TC-HICT, in the first nine months of 2025, the port focused on improving and enhancing operational capacity. This has been clearly demonstrated by significant changes in operational indicators.

Specifically, vessel clearance productivity reached 110 containers per hour (a 24% increase compared to 2024); berth waiting time decreased from 26.5 hours in 2024 to 7.8 hours this year.

With these achievements, TC-HICT continues to maintain its market share and throughput volume, affirming its role as one of the ports with the largest cargo throughput in the Hai Phong seaport area.
