In the first five months of 2025, many of northern Quang Ninh province's economic indicators continued to experience strong growth, with a booming tourism sector and flourishing domestic investment. Notably, the Industrial Production Index (IIP) rose by 14.24%, far surpassing the national average of 8.8%.

Over the first five months, Quang Ninh welcomed a total of 9.1 million visitors, including nearly 1.9 million international arrivals. Total tourism revenue reached VND22.566 trillion (over 861 million), a sharp increase of 27% compared to the same period in 2024.

With the peak sea travel season underway, businesses across the province are implementing many attractive promotional programs to stimulate spending among residents and tourists.

The service sector continued to be a major contributor, with a 17.7% growth in total retail sales of goods and service revenue. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for May 2025 increased by 1.98% compared to the previous month.
