Transport ministry requires to expand automatic toll collection at airports

The Ministry of Transport (MoT) has asked for the expansion of non-stop automatic toll collection for vehicles entering and exiting airports nationwide to save time and minimize traffic congestion.

Non-stop toll collection has been applied in a trial at the two international airports of Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat in Hanoi and HCM City, respectively.

Initial results showed that the system has operated stably at Noi Bai airport, helping to save time for travellers and ensuring smooth traffic flow. The airport officially put the system into use from December 20.

The MoT has guided the Airports Corporation of Vietnam and relevant agencies to implement non-stop automatic toll collection at major airports.
