Vietnam's industrial and high-tech parks are no longer just production hubs but are transforming into "innovation incubators," Radio the Voice of Vietnam cited Vietnamese Consul General to China Nguyen Viet Dung as saying.
Speaking at the opening of the recent Economic and Investment Connection Conference between Vietnamese enterprises and high-tech enterprises from Guangdong province, held in Guangzhou, China, Mr. Dung affirmed Vietnam's determination to develop a digital economy, green economy, and knowledge economy. He highlighted an open and transparent investment ecosystem, offering special incentives for high-tech projects, research centers, and innovative startups.
According to the Vietnamese diplomat, the economic cooperation between Vietnam and China in general, and with Guangdong province – "China's economic powerhouse, technology, and innovation hub" – in particular, is undergoing robust and extensive development.
During the conference, Mr. Le Hoang Tai, Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency under Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade, called on Guangdong authorities to continue facilitating trade and investment promotion activities. He also proposed coordinating business connections with industrial parks in Vietnam and enhancing cooperation in high technology, supporting industries, and electronic components.
Mr. Tai further encouraged Guangdong enterprises to invest in green and sustainable logistics infrastructure in Vietnam, share innovation experiences, transfer technology, and train human resources.
According to a representative from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangdong Committee, as Vietnam promotes industrialization, digital transformation, and green transition, Guangzhou's technology enterprises are entering a "golden period" to expand cooperation with the Vietnamese market.
Guangzhou businesses can not only introduce technology and products to Vietnam but also directly participate in Vietnam's industrial upgrading process, contributing to opening a new historical phase of cooperation with broad prospects.
