The Vietnam Innovation Summit (VIS) 2026 will take place from October 13–15 in Ho Chi Minh City, focusing on emerging trends shaping the innovation ecosystem, including investment capital, core technologies, the green transition and regional market expansion.

The fifth consecutive edition of VIS is expected to attract more than 4,000 participants and 100 speakers, alongside representatives from government agencies, businesses, investment funds, universities and international organisations.

Under the theme “Critical Mass – The New Currents of Innovation,” VIS 2026 will focus on four major areas: cross-border capital flows; innovation and growth; core technologies and future industries; and the green economy and energy transition.

Discussions will cover cross-border capital, free-trade zones, international financial centres and investment attraction. Technology sessions will explore artificial intelligence, green technology, financial technology, education and smart manufacturing.

The exhibition area is expected to feature more than 150 spaces for businesses, startups, universities and research organisations, connecting solutions with investors, customers, partners and regulators to support technology testing, adoption and commercialisation.

More than 200 companies and startups from over 30 countries are expected to participate in networking activities, with more than 250 one-to-one meetings planned.

A highlight will be “ASEAN Cross Connect: Malaysia–Vietnam Investment & Innovation Bridge,” which is expected to bring together more than 20 Malaysian venture capital and corporate investment funds, alongside business showcases and investment-matching activities.
