Representatives from a number of giant global corporations will attend the Vietnam International Sourcing 2023 event in Ho Chi Minh City from September 13 to 15 to purchase products and seek cooperative opportunities, Mr. Ta Hoang Linh, Head of the Department of European-American Markets at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, told a press briefing on September 7.

Around 300 businesses are expected to attend, showcasing more than 5,000 export products in fields where Vietnam holds strengths, such as food, garments and textiles, footwear, sportswear, household appliances, furniture, and support industries.

The event is aimed at helping domestic manufacturers and exporters reach global markets by connecting them with foreign distributors and importers.

A series of activities, including conferences and trade exchange programs, will be held on the sidelines.

It is expected to attracted 8,000 visitors.
