Vietnam is Italy’s largest trading partner in ASEAN and Italy is Vietnam’s fourth-largest trading partner in the EU. In the first eleven months that the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EUVFTA) was in effect, from August 2020 to the end of June 2021, Vietnam’s export turnover to Italy stood at $7.8 billion, an increase of 22.8 per cent compared to August 2019 to the end of June 2020.
