The Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has decided to launch an anti-dumping investigation into imported galvanized steel products originating from China and South Korea, the Government News has reported.
The decision has been made based on the evaluation results of the dossiers submitted by some Vietnamese enterprises that accused galvanized steel products originating from China and South Korea of being dumped into the Vietnamese market, causing significant damage to the domestic manufacturing industry.
These enterprises include Hoa Sen Group Corporation, Nam Kim Steel Corporation, Ton Phuong Nam Company, Ton Dong A Corporation, and China Steel & Nippon Steel Vietnam Corporation.
They provided sufficient grounds and data to determine the dumping margin of 69.23% and 3.41% for the products from China and the RoK, respectively.
According to regulations, the MoIT will send an investigation questionnaire to relevant parties in order to collect information to analyze and evaluate the consequences.
Based on the results of the preliminary investigation, the MoIT will apply temporary anti-dumping measures in an effort to prevent any dumping behavior that has caused significant damage to the domestic manufacturing industry.
The ministry encourages all organizations and individuals involved in the import, distribution, trade, or use of the goods under investigation to register as stakeholders and provide the necessary information to ensure that their rights and interests are protected by law.
