More than 100 domestic and foreign businesses are showcasing the latest shipbuilding equipment and technology at the Vietnam Marine & Offshore Expo (VIMOX) 2023 in Hanoi from July 5-7.

Many of the businesses are from the US, the UK, Singapore, Germany, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan.

The expo offer the opportunity for companies to remain up to date and seek business and investment opportunities in the field of shipbuilding, maritime technologies, and supporting industries.

A number of seminars are being held on the sidelines of the expo, including on prosperity and the development of the shipbuilding industry in Vietnam and technology solutions for shipbuilding and maritime transport.

Vietnam has nearly 120 shipbuilding establishments and over 1,600 vessels for freight transport, with a total capacity of 12-13 million DWT.
