Vietnam and the World Economic Forum (WEF) will promote cooperation in six key areas, including innovation in food, skills development for innovation, and green transformation and zero-emission industrial clusters under an MoU signed between the two in China on June 26.
The MoU on cooperation in the 2023-2026 period was signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son and WEF President Borge Brende, witnessed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Founder and Executive Chairman of the WEF Professor Klaus Schwab, the Government Online Newspaper reported.
Other fields of cooperation include plastic action, including the Global Plastic Action Partnership (GPAP), finance for renewable energy transition, and digital transformation cooperation and the establishment of an Industry 4.0 center.
The signing is expected to help Vietnam access resources and experience and take part in global WEF programs, thereby establishing a comprehensive ecosystem to promote new growth drivers, attract investment, and improve national competitiveness.
