VinFast launches small EV

Giang Hoang -

Orders for VF 3 to open in September with delivery in Q3 next year.

VinFast officially announced on June 8 a new electric vehicle (EV), the VF 3, in the small car segment, the first small car it has developed and based on the characteristics and driving habits of local people.

Previously, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Vingroup, said VinFast will introduce a line of micro EVs with a goal of covering all product ranges in the segment. These are the equal of sub-compact lines in foreign markets and smaller than A-class vehicles like the Kia Morning and Hyundai i10.

The new EV has a length of about 3,114 mm, with two doors, one rear trunk, and sufficient space for five people. Basic smart features are fully integrated, ensuring a comfortable and convenient experience for drivers.

It is equipped with an electric motor and battery with a travel distance that meets the needs and daily use of the vast majority of Vietnamese. It is expected that the VF 3 will officially receive registration orders from September, for hand over in the third quarter of 2024.

The VF 3 will come in two versions, Eco and Plus, with prices suitable for the majority of people, providing a safe, convenient, and smart transportation solution for all. With advantages including zero emissions, no noise, environmental friendliness, and a special emphasis on safety, the VF 3 can become the new “national vehicle” of Vietnamese people, improving quality of life and popularizing EVs in Vietnam.
