Exports of wood and wooden products in February are estimated to have earned revenue of $800 million, down 10.9 per cent year-on-year, according to the General Department of Customs.
Revenue in the first two months of 2023 was $1.62 billion, down 34.8 per cent.
The US, China, and Japan remain the three largest import markets of Vietnam, accounting for 78.1 per cent of total export volume and value.
Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Handicraft and Wood (Hawa) Nguyen Chanh Phuong said wood exports are expected to recover, with orders forecast to equal nearly 70 per cent of pre-pandemic levels.
